Teachers and students from the concerned departments are members of the societies. These societies mainly aim to build a good academic atmosphere by organising lectures by outside speakers and also by the members of the societies. They also help to promote good relationships between the field departments and industries on one hand and the educational institution on the other. The members also take up modelling work and organise quizzes and other competitions regularly. For academic development, the engineering societies organise many activities.
